Review - Pianos and Promises: Christopher and Jaime by Jennifer Peel

Jaime Seger has two goals in life: marry her best friend, the man that owns her heart and soul, and buy her very own grand piano. But Christopher McKay, who has no idea Jaime's been in love with him since she was eleven years old, never gets the memo and marries someone else.

When Christopher's wife dies, Jamie finds herself helping him raise his young daughter. A year later, she is on the other end of a very unlikely proposal, promising everything she thought she ever wanted.

But will Christopher help Jaime finally realize both of her dreams, or will she only be left with broken promises?

My Thoughts
What an amazing novella...I couldn't put it down.  I started it yesterday and finished it this morning.  It's one of those stories that pulls you in right from the beginning and I HAD to know what was going to happen in the end.
Jaime and Christopher had been best friends all of their lives.  They knew everything about each other as well as their hopes ans their dreams.  Jaime had two things she wanted to accomplish - to marry a man who had her heart and by a grand piano.  That was it.  She already had a few thousand set aside for her piano (and needed MANY thousand more) and as far as the man to who she would marry?  That was a WHOLE other story.
Jaime had been in love with Christopher since the day she met him - she thought they would end up together and be each others happily ever after.  Then Christopher married Bianca and they had a baby together.
Where was Jaime's dream headed now?  She continued her studies and tried to move on.  Then Bianca passed away and Christopher was with his young daughter alone.  He calls the only person her can trust - Jaime - and asks her to be his nanny.  Jaime needed a job desperately and she accepts.
Years pass and Jaime decides she is ready to moved on, she must put her needs and desires above Christopher's no matter how much it hurts.
When she is ready to depart he does it...he asks her the questions...what will she do?

Such a moving story from page to page...you will not be able to put it down until the end...
